Featuring a forged SAE 1045 steel housing and a hot-forged 4140 Chromoly ball stud, this joint is designed to handle extreme load, vibration, and articulation without compromise.
The unique plunger-style stud design—specific to Dodge and Jeep—allows smooth vertical motion with zero lateral play, eliminating the looseness common in factory joints. Apex’s dual carbon bearing system ensures rock-solid stability and extended service life.
Each joint is CNC-machined for precision, induction heat-treated for consistent strength, and E-coated for corrosion resistance. High-grade CR rubber boots protect against ozone, oil, and road contaminants, while the pre-threaded zerk housing, grease fitting, and pre-greased internals make service simple and installer-friendly.
Choose the knurled version for aftermarket or previously serviced knuckles, or the non-knurled version for factory-tight fits. Either way, you’re getting the strongest, most precisely engineered upper ball joint available for heavy-duty Ram trucks.
HOUSING
- Knurled version is ideal for aftermarket knuckle installations or when the bore has become slightly loose from prior replacements.
