BD Overdrive Lockout 05 Dodge 5.9L Cummins 1031350
One of the dumbest things that Dodge ever did on the 2005 Cummins is to eliminate the ability of the driver to lock out, or disable, overdrive. This is critical when you're towing so that the transmission doesn't shift up when you're going up a grade towing and all of a sudden the RPM drops to 1200 RPM's. Fortunately, BD-Power recognized this problem and has rectified the issue with their simple to install Overdrive Lockout Kit. BD's LockOut for the 2005 Dodge gives control of the overdrive function back to the driver, allowing the disablement of 4th gear (OD) for exhaust brake use or pulling duty. Works great to keep the RPM's up during exhaust brake usage for maximum braking power.
