Duramax Tuner Stealth Series 64mm VVT Bolt-In Turbo 04.5-10 6.6L GM Duramax
With the correct modifications, the factory Garrett VVT turbo found on your Duramax can be built to support 650 horsepower. This Stealth Series turbo upgrade is just that, which means its a direct bolt-in replacement of your stock turbo, but you'll gain big power and drop massive EGT's (Exhaust Gas Temperature).
Building on the popularity of the Stealth 64 in the LB7, the Stealth 64 VVT project has taken a stock appearing LBZ/LLY/LMM turbocharger and overhauled it to meet the demands of the Duramaxtuner team.
The stock LBZ/LLY/LMM turbocharger runs out of air at about 530rwhp. It has trouble controlling EGT's (Exhaust Gas Temperatures) on extended pulls past 400 horsepower. The Stealth 64 VVT extends the engine's useful power curve by another 120 horsepower, to 650 rear-wheel horsepower. Furthermore, the Stealth 64 VVT is much better at controlling exhaust gas temperatures under sustained load when towing up long grades at high power. This is accomplished through the use of a specially designed billet compressor wheel which is matched to a higher flowing turbine assembly. This match offers the best balance between quick spool-up for driveability and overall compressor flow for peak power, ideal for truck owners looking to make 650 RWHP.
The Stealth 64 VVT is an easy-to-install upgrade that spools up quickly, controls EGTs under heavy load, allows for turbine braking during towing scenarios, and kicks the competition to the curb when leaned on.
The Stealth 64 VVT Turbocharger comes completely assembled and balanced with the following:
