Factory Ford NEW Garrett Replacement Turbo 11-16 6.7L Ford Powerstroke
Unfortunately, though, this turbo design has also resulted in numerous failures, especially once modifications begin that enhance the boost levels the truck is seeing. Due to the high failure rates we have seen at Diesel Power Products (we've even had several failures on our own Raptor SD), we deem it necessary to offer a BRAND NEW OE replacement.
These turbos are available for both the standard pickup, as well as the cab and chassis (or Narrow Frame) models. There is a difference between the two applications, so be sure to choose the correct model. As previously stated, these are brand new turbos, but a refundable core charge is required because Ford is trying to build up their bank of cores so they can begin to offer rebuilt replacements in the future. As an added bonus, these turbos are BACKED BY A TWO YEAR WARRANTY with unlimited mileage by Ford. What this means, is that if this turbo fails within the first two years of ownership, you can go to any Ford dealer, and they will replace it under warranty, labor included.
Typically, when the turbo fails, it bursts the seals and oil is allowed to enter into the intercooler. We highly recommend at least inspecting your intercooler for the presence of oil, and typically it will need to be replaced.
