Kryptonite Stage 3 Leveling Kit with Fox 2.0 Shocks 17-25 Ford SuperDuty
Getting better ride quality isn't a mystery. The key is to have more suspension movement but have it be in a controlled fashion that it doesn't transfer nearly as much shock load into the cab. Better springs, better shocks and proper geometry/alignment are key. Luckily, Kryptonite has put together a solid, no frills, kit that does just that! The 2.5" Stage 3 kit from Kryptonite comes with front coils with a smoother spring rate to help make your front end more compliant. Paired with Fox 2.0 Performance shocks on all 4 corners, your truck now has more room to breathe which will equate into a more planted but plusher ride. Brake line extension brackets are also included to ensure that you don't over extend your front brake lines with all of your newfound suspension travel.
With the additional lift height, front bump stop drops are used to make sure that your shocks don't become your final stop. Metal on metal = bad. Metal on rubber = far more comfortable. When trucks are lifted, their alignment and geometry are thrown out. The Ford front end design is actually not all that complicated so getting things back in check is fairly straight forward. The two key areas to correct are the left to right position of the front axle under the truck and the caster angle. Left to right positioning is easily adjusted and fixed with the included adjustable track bar. As for the caster, traditionally, it was corrected with caster cams on the upper ball joint but thanks to Kryptonite’s heavy duty radius arms, caster adjustment can be made with the hexagonal eccentric washers on the lower bolt of the radius arm! This makes alignments a breeze as you don’t have to disassemble the rotating assembly on the truck to make adjustments. Your alignment guy will thank you as it’ll be one of the easiest Ford solid axle alignments he’s ever done. Another plus to the radius arms (aside from being extremely stout!) is that there are accommodations for larger wheels and tires to keep rubbing down to a minimum. The combination of the track bar and radius arm gets your truck back into alignment and gives the front suspension a massive strength upgrade!
All of these parts put together give you a 2.5" lift and a better riding truck with more room for larger wheels and tires. You can fit 35x12.5 tires with little to no trimming and possibly 37" with some trimming.
